Tuesday afternoon Franktown Fire was called to the old Castlewood Canyon Dam about 3 miles south of Highway 86 for several teenagers who were stranded on a rock face after fast rising water cut off their exit. A rate of 2-4 inches of rain per hour was falling. Crews arrived and waited for swift water rescue team members to launch a raft. All four parties were safely rescued.
