On Bear Mountain west of Moonridge/Highway 67. 3/4 acre ground fire on the side of the mountain. Units responding in for IA now.

1430 - BN11 confirmed smoke on the ridge, about 1,000' up from the canyon bottom. Req Air Support
1437 - Crews making road access to the area now, fire appears to be on the ground only and about 3/4 of an acre. Only chopper available is out of Craig, IC holding off on air support for now.
1438 - First Engine crew hiking in from about a mile out, fire is still in ground fuels only at this time.
