Hey didn't a new LFD chief type all most call in air support buy requesting a "tanker" instead of a tender on a semi truck fire?

I hadn't heard that one bull, but it woudn't surprise me. I know there was an almost screw up on a Doug Co. fire years back because Tender 181 & Tanker 181 were both assigned.

;D Oregon represented here. Not much weeds around here Lots of dry timber and duff around. Can't harvest or clean up most of it. You might kill an bug, plant, animal, waterway, fish, worm or anything else that would prevent a fire. We also have actual structure fires here as well. Use to be more but Fire prevention is doing to good of a job around here. They do call them tankers and tinders go figure. We do use allot of porta tanks out here due to open country with no or few hydrants. I think it started when we use to use old milk tractor trailer set ups.
