At 2:21 on Saturday Sept. 29 Harmony Station 23 and Harmony EMS units were dispatched to a working house fire at 339 Perry Highway Lancaster Twp. PD units arrived in minutes and confirmed the house was well involved. At that time Chief 23 requested mutual aid from Zelienople and Evans City Volunteer Fire Departments. First arriving Engine 23-2 arrived and began to setup for defensive operations. Multiple handlines were placed into service. Once the main body of fire was knocked down crews began to search for possible victims due to there being a vehicle in the driveway and no one around. Crews discovered 2 bodies and the fire marshall was notified and the coroner as well. 3 dogs also perished in the blaze.
